Less than 5% of fashion industry workers earn a living wage that covers their most basic needs.

  • 100% of the people creating products in our factory earn a living wage, and we are actively pursuing our entire supply chain to follow suit.
  • We publicly share lowest wages alongside living wages throughout our supply chain to ensure all workers’ basic needs are met.
  • Other benefits include healthcare, professional development, leadership training, further education opportunities, etc., and all partner factories have signed and agreed to the Nisolo Code of Conduct.

Planet

Fashion is one of the planet’s biggest polluters, responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions.

  • From raw materials sourcing to your doorstep, we’re combating climate change by reducing our carbon emissions and offsetting 100% of them as well, protecting 111,406,473 sq ft of the Amazon Basin from deforestation.
  • Meeting the industry’s highest standard of environmental responsibility, 95% of our leather uppers are Leather Working Group Certified.
  • In an industry where renewable energy is non-existent, solar panels span the roof of our factory, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Great gift!

Carbon emissions referenced here are calculated cradle to gate across Nisolo’s supply chain as a whole using Climate Neutral’s Brand Emissions Estimator and are offset by purchases of Verified Carbon Standard Certified credits that fund ongoing projects in the Peruvian Amazon. Calculations used for carbon offsets include product sourcing and manufacturing, Nisolo brand headquarters activity, and shipping to customers but do not necessarily include impacts on water, eutrophication, land occupation, and other natural resources.
