Today, for our Monday Meet, we would like to welcome Kate and Meghan to the Nísolo Team!
Kate and Meghan will be part of our team this fall as they help plan events, go on roadtrips, and organize our upcoming high school/college ambassador program. They join us after spending the first five months of the year in Orange County, California interning for Krochet Kids intl. where they traveled to events across the country and drove over 12,000 miles in a car together. As much as they loved the ocean and the beach, they are stoked to be in Nashville with Nísolo this fall.
Kate graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where she studied Apparel Product Development. She has a passion for design and a slight shoe obsession. “Working with Nísolo allows me to blend my love for fashion with my desire to work for a cause and develop socially conscious consumers.” She is a lover of adventures, stories, and creating. Kate’s not one to pass up a good roadtrip with the windows down, the music cranked up, and multiple stops for garage sales, ice cream, and antique stores.
Meghan received her BA in Communication Studies and Reconciliation Studies from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. “I am thrilled about the commitment Nísolo makes to not only empower Peruvian shoemakers but to invest in the next generation in the shoemakers’ communities through education.” Meghan is admittedly addicted to adrenaline, coffee, running, and a good read.
We are excited to have these Minnesotans on board with us this fall as we officially make Nashville our home. Thanks, Kate and Meghan, for joining us and becoming the newest Nísoleños!
