Let's take you back... 3 weeks ago (September 27th):
A truck full of Nisolo shoeboxes arrived, and the reality of Nisolo's next phase began to sink in. We laughed when the delivery guy asked if there would be a "loading dock" at headquarters. Thanks to a few friends, we were able to get the job done unconventionally.
This was the first time a box truck had ever been to Nisolo's headquarters. And to the driver's surprise, the truck couldn't exit without bottoming out. Two hours, four 12 ft boards, three concrete blocks and several laughs later the tuck was back on its way. Classic Nisolo.
We waited, waited, and waited more for the arrival of our shoes. The logistics of getting shoes out of Peru and into the U.S. was nothing short of a nightmare. The shoes were already a month late and with events coming up within a few days. Everyone was nervous.
Then, Monday, October 3rd at around 6 p.m, we received a call from "Chuck" saying that he was in-route from Atlanta to deliver our shoes that evening. The anticipation kept energy levels high as we prepared for the long-awaited arrival of our shoes.
At around 1:00 AM, nine large boxes arrived and were unloaded and safely stored in the garage. It sure was nice to see those boxes again after saying goodbye to them in Peru two months earlier!
By 2:00 AM, Nisolo's next phase had begun...
Excitement abounded as people came from all over to help us get the job done. With over 1000 pairs of shoes needing to be carefully placed and organized in boxes, it took us working in to the late hours of the night in order to be ready for sales the following day...
The next day and a half we worked non-stop in order to get ready for Oxford's Launch Party. We were so thankful to have so many friends, neighbors, and family members helping us to prepare for the launch. This could not have been done without everyone involved.
Just hours before the show, we FINALLY finished prepping for the launch party .
